What does it mean to be young in a world that keeps changing faster than anyone can prepare for?
For many adolescents we work with in the Northwest, Southwest and beyond, the answer isn’t about waiting to grow up, it’s about showing up now. Climate, technology, opportunity: the ground keeps shifting, and young people are asking for more than just a seat at the table. They’re asking for the spaces, skills, and support to build real solutions today.
This year’s International Youth Day theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” captures something we see every day at TeenAlive: no matter where a young person grows up, the hope is the same. To be heard,to be trusted, to matter now to create and impact and make a difference.
When young people are heard, communities move forward. They are not just the future, they are shaping today.
This International youth day we are giving young people the space to speak, share initiatiatives through round table conversations, under the Woman Eh! Wuna Place Dey project thanks to funding from GIZ-BMZ through UNFPA.
