Recreational Activity in Yoke, Muyuka Sub Division

In conflict affected areas, children are often faced with challenges that can impact their physical and emotional well being. Following the UNICEF-ECHO Three Project, TeenAlive with support from our partners are creating a safe environment where children can thrive and create peer to peer connections through Life skills and recreational activities.

Today in the Yoke Temporary Learning Space, Muyuka Subdivision, the children where engaged in a local recreational activity known as “Dodging” together with the community Facilitators.

These activities are designed to engage children in a fun and inclusive environment. The joy in their hearts could be reflected through the beautiful smiles on their faces.
It was quite evident that during this activity the children made new friendships through the teams created. They were able to call each team mate by name creating a good atmosphere for teamwork. This creates an atmosphere we’re every child can feel valued and included.

The engagement of both boys and girls, alongside children with disabilities, shows TeenAlive’s commitment together with our partners UNICEF Cameroon and the European Commission for humanitarian Aid’s continues effort to creat an environment where every child can thrive.
